I cannot praise them enough. The quality of everything was fantastic and everything ran as smooth as clockwork. Ben and Sarah in particular could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble!”

“The Ashes Venue is a stunning and totally unique venue - set in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The buildings and the grounds were absolutely perfect - a courtyard and lawn for guests, a barn for the ceremony itself and another barn for the reception and meal. The Ashes Venue stod out because of their flexibility to do whatever we wanted, the effort to go the extra mile by every single member of staff and the little details in the grounds itself - such as the bar being soundproof for those who want to get away from the dancefloor and even a one way mirror in the ladies bathroom to see the other guests enjoy themselves! There was also another room - for the use of the bride and bridesmaids to get ready before the wedding and for the bride and groom to have a minute alone on the big day. This room made a of difference - my mum who was suffering with cancer was able to lie down and rest throughout the day. The room even was equipped with a shower and other amenities! Our wedding day was truly memorable because it was such a laid back and thoroughly organised day - we didn't have to worry about anything as our events manager from the Ashes worked hard behind the scenes all day to make sure it all went smoothly. Above all, everything was simple, straighforward, relaxed and the entire venue was ours from 10am to 12pm.”

“We have being privileged to attended many types of wedding. From beaches abroad to registry offices in the UK, and every type of hotel and manor house in the middle. Because of this we were looking for an Alternative to the “norm” - not to radical but memorable. From when we first drove up the drive we knew we had found our venue with The Ashes it is a truly magical wedding venue. The rural surroundings make tremors photographs and having the whole venue to yourselves allow you the freedom to really make the day yours. The supporting local infrastructure is also superb, from the stunning churches to the local florist. We even managed to locally organise a “shoot” for the daytime entertainment and an old London bus for transport. We also hired out the whole of Rudyard Lake for accommodation and Roaches Hall (Sleeps 30+) for a week. So there is plenty of local accommodation if required. The service supplied from the staff was exceptional – very efficient but still relaxed. Again the catering was first class. I could keep going on but basically I cannot recommend this venue enough. Once again I would like to thank The Ashes for our special day.”

So many venues have a set way that they do things such as menus, decorations etc, however the ashes provides beautiful suroundings and venue that allow you to use it as a blank canvas for your day to make it your own. They are so flexible and along with Jenkinsons, and allow you to create your own menus, choose to bring your own drinks without charge and have the day that you want. Also their presence on the day is just right, they are there in the background to prompt and keep things on track but also let things run along and are happy to let things change on the day if weather permits!”

The Ashes venue itself is beautiful looking over countryside with amazing grounds for photos (and they have a lovely barn that can be used if it is raining). The service was impeccable - the food was amazing (better than some posh restaurants I have eaten in). Throughout the day they were around if we needed them but were not intrusive. I would reccomend the Ashes to anyone!”

They are welcoming and give you their full attention whilst doing everything they can to answer all your questions. On the day they are there to make certain everything goes well even in December when it's minus 15 degrees c. They even whent all out to clear the very long drive upto the venue of snow. They made sure that we had clear sheets to fill in so that they could help us with the seating and who was attending in the evening so that they could be on hand to welcome them. They have and are working hard to provide a unique venue with outstanding customer service in a setting that is beautiful in summer and magical int the winter. The gardens and renovations that have taken place to make The Ahes what it is today are done to an expectional quailty standard and are maintained constantly. “The venue itself is beautiful and unique. It doesn't require much work, ie in most venues things like chairs need covers, or additional lighting, flowes etc which all cost money. This venue doesn't need this, so makes the whole wedding process so much easier and cheaper. In addition, the website provides so much detail on suppliers etc and the staff are so accomodating that it makes the planning a lot less hassle. Finally, the fact that you can take your own wine makes it so much more affordable than other wedding venues. The food was excellent too.”

My daughter whos wedding it was decided she wanted a wedding in a barn! Although these started out as a barn the outside is the only place where this is noteable. The beams inside are finished and glow the mezanine floors where the bar is with the glass frontage all looks the part as does the stable doors and small windows. The whole place breathes Quality. The changintg area for the Bridal party is set out with with a shower room tea coffee mirrors and a sitting room there is nothing that you can think of that was not provided. The setting of The Ashes is also a point in its favour. The surroundings are beautiful and being on a hill the wiews are stunning. I can not speek highly enough of the whole experience it was magical .”

Nothing was to much trouble, and you could bother them with any stupid questions you had ,they always seemed to have asnwers and the web page that is set up where people can talk to each other about there wedding plans and discuss people they have used and different ideas on how to use the Ashes. I can not praise them enough we had a glorioue day from 10 in the morning right through to midnight .FANTASTIC ..”
