Venue Preparation Guide
We are often asked or measurements of certain areas, especially for table plans and flowers. So, we have compiled a list for your guidance:

The table plan frame size is 750mm wide by 1050mm high.

The registrar's table is 1830mm long by 770mm in depth.

The east barn balcony is 6000mm in length (approx. 20')

Both Balconys in the west barn are 5800mm in length (approx. 19')

Many windows ledges are also available for decorations in both barns.

It is our hope that you are able to maximise your enjoyment of The Ashes by suitable decorations for your event, but we would ask you to kindly be aware of the following guidelines.

The Ashes complex is all either Grade II* or Grade II listed, so please at all times ensure that no features of the buildings are damaged or compromised in any way.

Any decorations should preferably be attached by easily removable ties.

If adhesive tape is needed, please ensure that this is not used on glass surfaces, paintwork, or anywhere damage could be caused on removal.

No tacks, nails or screws should be used to attach decorations to either the fabric of the building or the fixtures and fittings therein.

If candles are to be used, they must be placed carefully to avoid breaching our fire prevention policy, and must always be of the non drip variety, holders to be approved prior to your event.

If table decorations are to be used, it is the responsibilty of the hirer, to ensure that no damage is caused to the tables or table linen.

No stickers of any description must be attached to any part of the buildings or the fixtures and fittings therein.

Please be aware that any decorations or adornments provided by the hirer must be removed as soon as practicable after the event, but no later than 10 AM the following day.

If wedding confetti is used, please ensure that this is confined to the main courtyard between the barns and the house, and is biodegradable only. No confetti is permitted inside the buldings or on the gardens.

We would respectfully ask our guests to be aware that any damage or additional cleaning costs caused by non adherance to these guidelines, will be charged to the hirer.
