The Ashes is a magnificent Grade II* listed family home with two listed barns which have been caringly converted to provide an unrivalled venue for weddings, civil ceremonies, functions and corporate events.

Available for exclusive private hire, the barns, which include an old dairy house, have been sympathetically converted and offer a luxurious and comfortable setting providing the perfect venue for a truly unique experience.

Packages can be tailored to meet your exact needs and you can be assured that you will be the sole focus of our
attention from start to finish.

We can cater for every choice of function, whether a simple barbecue to a five course banquet, from intimate gatherings for say 30 to 40 guests to formal sitdown meals for friends and family of up to 150 guests.

For the evening entertainment the lights are dimmed in The East Barn and a band or disco can play. Alternative evening activities can take place in the West Barn, for instance a magician or Punch and Judy show for any younger guests (or not so young) and a fun casino can ensure there is plenty for everyone.

I wanted to write to formally thank you and your staff on behalf of Claire & Matt for all you did to make the wedding day such a wonderful occasion for us all. I am obviously biased when I say its probably the best wedding I have ever attended but your venue lends itself perfectly to such occasions and your attention to detail means the hosts can relax and enjoy the experience. I heard many of our guests commenting favourably about ''The Ashes'' in general but it appears the ladies toilet was worthy of a special mention, even down to the towels for hand drying, the girls loved it. As the father of the bride I could not have wanted anything better for my daughter on the day even the weather behaved when necessary and the umbrellas were a god send at the pig roast. Again you leave nothing to chance,

the whole experience was fabulous.
